Eric Bogle - Rescheduled
A message from the promoter of Eric Bogle:
Eric sends his apologies to all and explains, “unfortunately I recently have had a return visit from Jimmy Dancer (cancer). However, I am now in the fifth week of chemo and radio therapy and am hopefully well on the way to sending Jimmy back to the black pit of Hell that he springs from!”
Not wishing to disappoint his audience, we have re-scheduled his concert and Eric hopes those affected can instead make it along in September.
He signs off, “Once again, apologies for any disruption this may cause you, but still looking forward to seeing you all for a celebratory night of songs and stories.”
Tickets purchased for the original dates remain valid for the rescheduled dates below, with ticket holders not needing to take any action.

Eric Bogle is an internationally known and respected songwriter. For nearly 40 years he has toured the world with his music, inflicting his songs on innocent bystanders from outback Australia to the streets of New York and many places in between.
During those 40 years he has embarked on eight tours of North America, 11 tours of Europe and many, many tours of Australia, with 4 tours of New Zealand thrown in as well.
He has performed at many of the major folk and music festivals around the globe, including Port Fairy, Woodford and The National in Australia, Philadelphia, Mariposa and Vancouver in North America, the Celtic Connections Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, the Celtic Music Festival in Lorient, France, and the TØnder and Skagen festivals in Denmark, as well as treading the boards in countless folk, footy, bowling and social clubs and arts theatres all around the world.
In 1987 Eric received the OAM from the Australian Government for his services to the entertainments industry, and in 1986 he received the United Nations Peace medal for his contribution, through his music, to the cause of peace.
Although he has now decided to stop touring overseas, Eric is still doing the occasional concert/festival in Australia as the spirit moves him, which he hopes to keep doing until someone switches off the lights, which he further hopes will be around 2045AD.
